FineTech
exhibits at 'A Celebration of UK Engineering Research and Innovation'
Recently FineTech Medical appeared
at the prestigious 'Celebration of UK Engineering Research and Innovation'
event held in the ExCel Centre, Docklands. This event was
a key component of the International Review of UK Engineering Research
2004. The Review was jointly organised by EPSRC and the Royal Academy
of Engineering.
Under the Healthcare section
of the exhibition, FineTech had two products on display - the FineTech-Brindley
Bladder Stimulator and a demonstrator unit of their
new FES Cycling Stimulator,
currently under development. The Cycling Stimulator demonstrator
used lights attached to a pair of cycling shorts to indicate the
phasing of muscle stimulation required and the intensity of stimulation
being applied, as set by the throttle controller. A sample
of the final display module was also on show giving trip information.
