We produce and supply a number of surgical accessories for use by surgeons and clinicians during surgery.
Sterile Surgical Adhesive
Sterile Surgical Adhesive, Part No. BSC254Finetech Medical Sterile Surgical Adhesive (BSC254) is a one component, low slump, translucent silicone RTV material for bonding silicone elastomers to each other and to some synthetics and metals. It is intended to be used during the implantation of the Finetech-Brindley Bladder Control System. Other applications may be found where a sterile silicone RTV adhesive is required, however, the purchaser should thoroughly test products made in part or otherwise incorporating Sterile Medical Adhesive to determine the accepatbility of the products performance in a specific application.
Sterile Medical Adhesive is supplied in a sterile 8 gram tube, in a double peel pouch and is intended for single use only.
Surgical Stimulator
Surgical Stimulator, Model BSD260The Surgical Stimulator (BSD260) is a battery operated device, used to generate stimulating currents that will be delivered to the nerve tissue through the Intradural or the Extradural Surgical Probes. It is supplied non-sterile and is for use outside the sterile field.
Intradural Surgical Probe
The Intradural Surgical Probe (BSC264) is used with the Surgical Stimulator to stimulate and identify nerve roots intradurally. The electrode end of the probe has three blunted hooks, tri-polar configuration, which the surgeon uses to gently lift the nerve to be stimulated away from surrounding nerves. The Intradural Surgical probe is supplied sterile in a double peel pouch and is intended for single use only.
Extradural Surgical Probe
The Extradural Surgical Probe (BSC259) is used with the Surgical Stimulator to stimulate and identify nerves extradurally or peripherally. The electrode end of the probe has two blunted hooks, bi-polar configuration. The nerve may be stimulated by holding the back of the hooks against the nerve or carefully lifting the nerve in the hooks. The Extradural Surgical Probe is supplied sterile in a double peel pouch and is intended for single use only.
Tri-Pole Spring Test Lead
The Tri-pole Spring Test Lead (BSD242) is intended for use with a nerve stimulator, such as the BSD260 Surgical Stimulator, to provide temporary test connection during surgery. The test lead has a tri-polar configuration, with the centre spring being the cathode and the two outer springs being the common anodes. The extended springs are used to make temporary electrical contact.
The cable length of about 2.75 meters is provided to ensure that the plug end of the cable will reach well outside the sterile field. The test cable terminates in a miniature three-conductor plug which mates with the Surgical Stimulator BSD260.
The disposable test cable is provided in sterile, double pouched peel-packs and is intended for single use.
Mono-Pole Spring Test Lead
The Mono-Pole Spring Test Lead (BSD299) is intended for use with a nerve stimulator, such as the BSD260 Surgical Stimulator, to provide temporary test connection during surgery. The test cable is a mono-pole configuration and it is the cathode output from the stimulator. The extended spring is used to make temporary electrical contact.
The cable length of about 2.75 meters is provided to ensure that the plug end of the cable will reach well outside the sterile field. The test cable terminates in a miniature three-conductor plug which mates with the Surgical Stimulator BSD260.
